The Dixie Aquatic Race Team (DART) offers training and
practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is
the goal of DART to offer age specific training for all of our
athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing
each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Practice Groups
Practices focus on developing proper
technique and education
about the sport of swimming. Swimmers are placed in
practice groups
according to age and ability. All practices are held at the
Sand
Hollow
Aquatic Center. (See Google map)
Platinum:
4:30 to 7:00
Monday through
Friday
8:00-10:30
Saturday
$70 a month
Gold
School Hours:
4:30 to 7:00
Monday
through Friday
8:00 am to 10:30 am Saturdays
2 hours per day |$60 a month
Silver
School Hours:
4:45 to 6:15 Monday through Friday
1.5 hours per day | $50 a month
Bronze
School Hours:
5:30 to 6:30 Monday through Friday
1 hour per day | $40 a month
DART SWIM GROUPS
Bronze Group
·
Practice four times per week for 1 hour (15 minutes dryland, 45
minutes swim time).
·
Ages 12 and under are encouraged to swim in local meets (St.
George, Cedar City and Las
Vegas).
·
In order to move to the Silver group swimmers must be proficient in
all strokes, turns, starts
and have at least “B” times in 3 of the 4
strokes. A Parent/Coach/Board Member
meeting is
required
prior to simmer advancement.
Silver Group
·
Practice four times per week for 1 hour 45 minutes (15 minutes
dryland, 1½ hours swim time).
·
Silver swimmers need to participate at all local meets (see above)
and are also encouraged
to swim at meets in Northern Utah.
·
They compete in all stroke events up to 200 yards.
·
In order to move to the Gold group swimmers must have
“BB” times or Junior Olympic (JO)
qualifying times in 3 of the 4 strokes. A Parent/Coach/Board Member meeting is
required
prior to simmer advancement.
Gold Group
·
Practice five times per week for 2 ½ hours (1/2 hour
dryland, 2 hours swim time).
·
Gold swimmers need to participate in local meets as well as meets
in Northern Utah, Las
Vegas, California, and Arizona.
·
In addition, a Gold swimmer may have times that qualify them for
State Championships,
Junior Olympic (JO) Championships, Far Westerns, Sectionals,
and Zones.
